Dr. Victoria Bañales is the 2025-2027 Watsonville Poet Laureate. A Chicanx writer and educator, she is the founder of Journal X, a social justice literary/arts magazine, and a member of the Writers of Color-Santa Cruz County and Circulo de Poetas & Writers. Victoria is passionate about social justice, equity, and inclusion.
