Dr. Victoria Bañales is a Chicanx writer and teacher. She is the founder of Journal X, a social justice literary/arts magazine, and a member of the Writers of Color-Santa Cruz County. She is a published writer and VONA and Macondo alum. She is the recipient of two poetry awards. Victoria is committed to social justice, equity, and inclusion.
